Anne M. Suskind

Dr. Anne M. Suskind, MD, MS, FACS, FPM-RS, is a distinguished Associate Professor at the University of California, San Francisco, where she holds dual appointments in the departments of Urology and Obstetrics, Gynecology, and Reproductive Sciences. Her academic journey began at Haverford College, followed by medical training at Albany Medical College, and further specialization at the University of Michigan. Her extensive education laid a strong foundation for her career in medicine and research. In her current roles, Dr. Suskind is not only the Associate Chair of Faculty Affairs and Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion but also serves as the Chief of Neurourology, Female Pelvic Medicine & Reconstructive Surgery. Her leadership in these areas underscores her commitment to fostering an inclusive academic environment while advancing the field of urology. Dr. Suskind's clinical expertise is centered around urinary incontinence, overactive bladder, vaginal mesh complications, and other lower urinary tract dysfunctions. She is known for her comprehensive approach, integrating both surgical and nonsurgical treatments to provide personalized care for her patients. Her dedication to improving patient outcomes is evident in her clinical practice. Her research is particularly focused on enhancing care for frail older adults with urologic conditions. By leveraging large national databases, Dr. Suskind investigates treatment outcomes and the unintended consequences of urologic procedures.
