Judy Prehn
Dr. Judy Bryant Prehn is pursuing novel approaches in pediatric physical therapy and rehabilitation science as the Program Director for Physical Therapy and an Associate Professor at William Carey University. Since joining the university in 2014, Dr. Prehn has made significant contributions in various capacities, including serving as a physical therapy faculty member, Director of Clinical Education, and Program Director. Her dedication to advancing the field is evident in her leadership and commitment to fostering a robust educational environment for future physical therapists. Before her tenure at William Carey University, Dr. Prehn owned and operated a private physical therapy practice that specialized in pediatrics. This experience provided her with invaluable insights into the unique challenges and needs of pediatric patients, which she continues to integrate into her teaching and research. Her academic credentials are extensive, holding a Doctor of Science in Rehabilitation Science, a Master’s Degree in Pediatric Rehabilitation Science, and a Baccalaureate Degree in Physical Therapy. Dr. Prehn's expertise is further recognized through her status as a Board Certified Clinical Specialist in Pediatric Physical Therapy and her certification in the Newborn Individualized Developmental Care and Assessment Program (NIDCAP).
