
Seyyedmohsen Azizi
A driving force in studies related to power systems and fault diagnosis techniques, Seyyedmohsen Azizi is an Assistant Professor at the New Jersey Institute of Technology (NJIT). He holds a primary appointment in the School of Applied Engineering and Technology and a secondary appointment in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering. Since joining NJIT in 2018, Professor Azizi has been instrumental in advancing research in decentralized control and fault diagnosis techniques, particularly within the realms of power systems, microgrids, and mechatronics. Before his tenure at NJIT, Professor Azizi served as an assistant professor at Michigan Technological University, where he honed his teaching and research skills. His industry experience includes a significant role as an R&D engineer at Pratt & Whitney Canada Inc., where he contributed to cutting-edge developments in engineering solutions. Professor Azizi earned his Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering from Concordia University, where his research laid the groundwork for his current focus areas. His academic journey has been marked by a commitment to integrating theoretical insights with practical applications, a philosophy that continues to guide his work at NJIT. In addition to his academic and professional pursuits, Professor Azizi is a senior member of the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE) and a member of the American Society for Engineering Education (ASEE).
