Dr. Danielle Bacibianco is an accomplished scholar and educator, currently serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at CUNY Borough of Manhattan Community College within the English Department. She brings her expertise to the classroom through courses such as ENG 101, ENG 201, and ENG 311, where she inspires students with her passion for language and literacy. Dr. Bacibianco earned her Ph.D. in English from St. John’s University, where she honed her skills in critical analysis and scholarly research. Her academic pursuits are deeply rooted in the exploration of recovery literacies, particularly within the context of Alcoholics Anonymous. Through her autoethnographic work, Danielle seeks to challenge and expand the traditional narratives that dominate recovery spaces. Her research interests extend to Writing Studies, Literacy Studies, Recovery Storytelling, and Queer Rhetoric, areas in which she has made significant contributions. Danielle's commitment to disrupting hegemonic narrative spaces is evident in her projects that promote queer recovery rhetorics. Her innovative approach to scholarship has not gone unnoticed; she was honored with the 2022 CCCC Lavender Rhetorics Award for Excellence in Queer Scholarship, a testament to her impactful work in the field.
