Dr. Cait Field is an expert in biopsychology and ethology, serving as an Adjunct Assistant Professor of Psychology at CUNY School of Professional Studies. Her academic focus encompasses sensation and perception, animal behavior, and the intricate processes of learning and memory. Dr. Field's educational journey began with a Master of Arts in Animal Behavior & Conservation from Hunter College, followed by a PhD in Biopsychology & Behavioral Neuroscience from the CUNY Graduate Center. In her role as an educator, Dr. Field is dedicated to imparting knowledge across a variety of psychology courses, where she integrates her extensive research experience into her teaching. Her commitment to education is matched by her professional endeavors as the Manager for Science and Research Development at Freshkills Park in New York. Here, she plays a pivotal role in overseeing research projects that focus on restoration ecology, land management, and biodiversity monitoring, contributing to the park's mission of transforming a former landfill into a sustainable urban oasis.
