Dr. Muquarrab A. Qureshi conducts research on intervention strategies for controlling human pathogens in fermented vegetables at the Veterinary Medicine North Carolina State University, Raleigh, NC. As an Adjunct Professor and Research Leader at the USDA-ARS Food Science and Market Quality and Handling Research Unit, he leads a team of dedicated research scientists. His work primarily focuses on developing innovative methods to enhance the safety and quality of fermented and acidified vegetables, while also improving processes for vegetable preservation and utilization.
