Caen Ang

Caen Ang is a Research Assistant Professor in the Department of Nuclear Engineering at the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. With a keen focus on the synthesis of materials, he leads efforts at the High Temperature Materials Laboratory to develop cutting-edge technologies. His research primarily revolves around advanced composite hydrides, bio-mimic packing of encapsulated nuclear materials, and core structures for Nuclear Thermal Propulsion systems. Dr. Ang's contributions to the field have been recognized with the prestigious UT Research Faculty/Associate Excellence Award in 2020. His academic journey is marked by a robust educational background, having earned a Ph.D. in Ultra-High Temperature Ceramics and Composites.
