Traci L. Wike, Ph.D., M.S.W., has been an esteemed associate professor at Virginia Commonwealth University's School of Social Work since 2011. Her academic journey is marked by a profound commitment to understanding and addressing the complexities of youth violence, with a particular emphasis on peer-related bullying, victimization, and harassment. Dr. Wike's research endeavors aim to foster resilience and promote healthy social-emotional outcomes for children and youth, especially those hailing from vulnerable populations. Dr. Wike's expertise extends to various facets of adolescent and youth development, with a keen focus on issues related to sexual orientation and gender identity. Her work also delves into the critical area of violence against women and children, reflecting her dedication to creating safer and more inclusive environments for all individuals. In addition to her research contributions, Dr. Wike is actively engaged in teaching at VCU.
