

Alexey Sergeev
Professor Alexey Sergeev is applying his expertise to address challenges in the fields of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery at West Virginia University's School of Medicine. As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Cardiovascular and Thoracic Surgery, Dr. Sergeev is dedicated to advancing surgical techniques and improving patient outcomes. He earned his MD from the IM Sechenov Moscow Medical Academy in 2007, followed by a PhD from the Bakulev Scientific Center in 2011, where he honed his skills in complex surgical procedures. Dr. Sergeev's research interests lie at the intersection of thoracic and cardiovascular surgery, where he is committed to exploring innovative approaches to surgical care. His work focuses on developing minimally invasive techniques and enhancing the precision of surgical interventions.
