

Veronica Gallo
Professor Veronica Gallo is recognized for excellence in nursing education and research, particularly in the areas of diversity, equity, and inclusion. As an Assistant Professor at the West Virginia University School of Nursing Bridgeport Campus, she brings a wealth of knowledge and experience to her students and colleagues. Veronica earned her PhD from West Virginia University, an MSN from Marshall University, and a BSN from Fairmont State College, showcasing her commitment to advancing her education and expertise in the field. Her research interests are deeply rooted in promoting equity, diversity, and inclusion within nursing education. Veronica is particularly passionate about addressing ageism and incivility in nursing education, striving to create a more inclusive and respectful learning environment for all students. Her dedication to these critical issues is reflected in her scholarly work and contributions to the academic community. Throughout her career, Veronica has been recognized for her outstanding contributions to nursing education. She received the prestigious Clarksburg Mission Care Awards in 2023, acknowledging her exceptional care and commitment to her profession. In 2019, she was honored as an Associate Graduate Faculty, further cementing her reputation as a leader in nursing education. In addition to her academic achievements, Veronica is a Certified Nurse Educator (CNE), accredited by the National League for Nursing since 2008. This certification underscores her commitment to excellence in teaching and her dedication to preparing the next generation of nurses.
