Peter Gibeau
Dr. Peter Gibeau is an expert in music theory and performance, serving as a distinguished professor at the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee at Washington County. With a robust educational background, he holds a bachelor's degree in piano performance from the prestigious Oberlin Conservatory. Furthering his expertise, he earned a master's degree in early music performance practice from the University of Arkansas, followed by a PhD in music theory with a minor in choral conducting from UW-Madison. At UWM, Dr. Gibeau is dedicated to imparting knowledge in music theory, aural skills, music literature, and appreciation. His teaching philosophy emphasizes a comprehensive understanding of music's structural and expressive elements, aiming to cultivate both technical proficiency and a deep appreciation for music among his students.
