Professor Cindy García is an esteemed academic focusing on interdisciplinary studies in theatre arts and dance at the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. Pathways, an innovative open-access bilingual publication that seeks to bridge the gap between arts and activism. Her research delves into the cultural politics of migration, race, and performance across the Americas, with a strong emphasis on anti-racist arts and activism. She is also deeply invested in decolonial feminist ethnography, exploring the intersections of gender, race, and cultural expression. Her academic journey is marked by a Ph.D. in Culture and Performance, an M.A. in Dance, and a B.A. in Anthropology, which collectively inform her multifaceted approach to teaching and research.
