

Christopher Robert Jones
Professor Christopher Robert Jones is focused on innovative teaching methods in the realm of arts and collaboration at the Fine Arts University of Minnesota-Twin Cities, Minneapolis. As an artist, writer, and Research Assistant Professor, Jones brings a unique blend of creativity and academic rigor to their work. They are particularly interested in exploring the intersections of art and collaboration, with a keen focus on Cripistemology—a field that examines the knowledge production of disabled people. Jones is the co-founder of Crip*—Cripistemology and the Arts (Crip*), a transdisciplinary initiative that seeks to bridge the gap between art and disability studies. This initiative is housed within the College of Fine and Applied Arts and aims to foster a deeper understanding of how art can be a medium for expressing diverse experiences and perspectives. Their recent project, the Blue Description Project, exemplifies Jones' commitment to collaborative art-making.
