

Yiorgos Makris
Yiorgos Makris is a distinguished Professor in the Electrical and Computer Engineering department at The University of Texas at Dallas. He embarked on his journey with the university in July 2011, following an extensive tenure of over ten years as a faculty member at Yale University. Yiorgos holds a Ph.D. and an M.S. in Computer Engineering from the University of California, San Diego, and a Diploma of Engineering from the University of Patras in Greece, showcasing a robust academic foundation. His research interests lie at the intersection of machine learning and the design of trusted integrated circuits and systems, with a particular emphasis on the analog/RF domain. Yiorgos is deeply engaged in pioneering research efforts that aim to enhance the reliability and security of these systems. As a Co-Founder and Site-Principal Investigator of the NSF Industry University Cooperative Research Center on Hardware and Embedded System Security and Trust, he plays a pivotal role in advancing the field.
