Violaine White

Dr. Violaine White is an esteemed Associate Teaching Professor of French and the French Program Coordinator at the University of Missouri-St. Louis (UMSL). With a robust academic background, she completed her Ph.D. in French Studies at Washington University in St. Louis, where she honed her expertise in modern and contemporary French literature. Her research delves into the poetics of landscape and explores radical discourses emerging from rural and marginal spaces, offering a unique perspective on French literary studies. At UMSL, Dr. White is dedicated to teaching French language, literature, and culture across all levels, from introductory courses to advanced seminars.
