Patrick Litanga takes a creative approach to solving problems in the fields of African Studies and Human Rights. As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Government at Eastern Kentucky University, he brings a wealth of knowledge and passion to his teaching and research. Dr. Litanga is dedicated to exploring the complexities of African societies and the global implications of human rights issues. In the upcoming Spring 2024 semester, Dr. Litanga will be teaching courses that reflect his research interests and expertise. His course on African Experience (AFA 201) offers students an in-depth understanding of the diverse cultures, histories, and political landscapes of the African continent. Meanwhile, his Principles and Politics: Human Rights (POL 451/WGS 451) class delves into the theoretical and practical aspects of human rights, encouraging students to critically engage with contemporary issues and debates. Dr. Litanga is committed to fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment where students are encouraged to think critically and engage with complex global issues. His research not only contributes to academic discourse but also aims to impact policy and practice in meaningful ways.
