Terri Shelton serves as the Vice Chancellor of Research and Engagement and holds the esteemed position of Carol Jenkins Mattocks Distinguished Professor at the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. In her role, she is responsible for overseeing the advancement of research, ensuring administrative integrity, fostering innovation, and promoting commercialization. Her leadership extends to interdisciplinary campus-wide research centers, as well as community and economic engagement initiatives. With a prolific career, Terri Shelton has contributed to over 75 publications and has been instrumental in securing $40 million in grants and contracts. Her scholarly pursuits are deeply rooted in community-based research, with a focus on building capacity for communities, families, youth, service providers, researchers, and policymakers.
