Elaheh Sadredini

Elaheh Sadredini's research defines new horizons for the future of computing by exploring the intersection of novel computing paradigms and application-specific reconfigurable accelerators. As an Assistant Professor in the Department of Computer Science and Engineering at the University of California, Riverside, she is at the forefront of advancing near-data processing technologies. Her academic journey began with a Ph.D. in Computer Science from the University of Virginia in 2019, where she delved deeply into these innovative areas. Dr. Sadredini's work has been recognized and published in prestigious conferences and journals such as MICRO, ISCA, ASPLOS, HPCA, and DAC. Her contributions to the field have not gone unnoticed, earning her accolades like the John A. Stankovic Graduate Research Award and the UVA International Students Office Graduation Award for Academic Excellence. Additionally, she was honored with the Best of CAL award, highlighting her exceptional research capabilities and academic achievements. Beyond academia, Dr. Sadredini has gained valuable industry experience through internships at renowned institutions and companies. At Friedrich Alexander University, she expanded her research horizons, while her time at Apple Inc. and eBay allowed her to apply her expertise in developing hardware accelerators for AI applications. These experiences have enriched her understanding of the practical applications of her research and have informed her teaching and mentorship at UC Riverside.
