Dr. Carla Barron, PhD, LMSW, IMH-E®, is a distinguished Assistant Professor - Research at the Infant Mental Health Training Program within the Merrill Palmer Skillman Institute at Wayne State University. With a profound dedication to the field of infant mental health, Dr. Barron has established herself as an expert in reflective supervision and consultation, as well as home visiting. Her role at the university involves working closely with graduate students enrolled in the Infant Mental Health Dual-Title program, where she imparts her knowledge through seminars and community trainings focused on professional wellness and early infant development. With over 15 years of experience as an infant mental health specialist, Dr. Barron is endorsed by the Michigan Association for Infant Mental Health as an Infant Mental Health Mentor - Clinical.
